Ready to find out what you're actually made of?

A twenty-minute DEXA scan measures your fat, muscle, and bone the way a clinic does — not the way a bathroom scale guesses. You leave with your numbers explained, in plain language, the same visit.

Fat

Total and regional — arms, legs, trunk — plus the visceral fat around your organs.

Muscle

Lean mass by limb, so you can see left-right imbalance and whether gains are real.

Bone

Mineral density with a T-score you can hand to your physician.

Change

Every scan compares against your last one, on the same machine, same protocol.

The scale can't tell you which four pounds you lost.

Drop four pounds of fat and add four pounds of muscle and the scale reports nothing happened. Six months of good training can look like failure. A GLP-1 can be working beautifully and still be quietly costing you lean mass.

A DEXA scan separates the two. It's the reference standard researchers use — the same method behind the national body-composition dataset — and it resolves changes small enough to matter between scans a few months apart.

That's the whole idea here. One measurement you can trust, repeated, so the decisions after it aren't guesses. How the measurement works.

Three tests. Book one, or pair them.

Grand-opening pricing, held through launch. No membership, no consult fee, no upsell after the scan.

DEXA Scan

30 MIN

Body composition head to toe: lean mass, fat distribution, visceral fat, and bone mineral density.

  • Regional fat and lean mass
  • Visceral adipose tissue
  • Bone density T-score
  • Baseline for future comparison

VO₂ Max

30 MIN

A graded treadmill test that measures the oxygen you actually use, not the number your watch estimates.

  • True VO₂ max and aerobic ceiling
  • Heart-rate training zones
  • Fat vs. carb crossover point
  • Zone 2 target you can trust

RMR

30 MIN

Ten quiet minutes of breathing into a mask tells us the calories you burn at rest — measured, not predicted.

  • Measured resting metabolic rate
  • Substrate use at rest
  • Real calorie targets to work from
  • Metabolic adaptation over time
Who books with us

Different reasons, same measurement.

Your first real baseline

You're in your forties or fifties, you feel fine, and you've never had any of this measured. One scan gives you a starting line — and tells you whether bone density is something to watch now rather than at sixty-five.

Lifting and training seriously

You train hard enough that progress has gotten hard to see. Regional lean mass shows which side is lagging, whether a bulk went where you wanted, and what a cut actually cost you.

Perimenopause and after

Bone loss and visceral fat both accelerate in this window, usually without symptoms. DEXA measures both directly, so conversations with your physician — including about HRT — start from numbers.

On a GLP-1

The medication works. The open question is composition: a meaningful share of the loss can be lean mass. Scanning before you start, and again a few months in, is how you protect it.

Playing the long game

Muscle mass and visceral fat are two of the better-evidenced markers for how the next thirty years go. If you're already tracking sleep, glucose, and bloodwork, this is the structural layer that's usually missing — and the one that takes twenty minutes a year.

What to expect

In and out in half an hour, results included.

Wear something without metal. Skip the big meal beforehand. That's most of the preparation.

Full prep instructions

01Arrive and change if you need to

No gown, no fasting for DEXA. You'll be on the table within a few minutes of walking in.

02Lie still for seven to twelve minutes

The arm passes over you. Nothing touches you, nothing is enclosed, and the radiation dose is a fraction of a cross-country flight.

03Sit down and go through it together

A technician walks your report line by line — what's typical for your age and sex, what stands out, what to do about it. Ten minutes, before you leave.

04Come back when there's something to see

Three to six months for most goals. Every follow-up is charted against your baseline on the same machine.

"I'd been lifting for two years and had no idea whether my left leg was catching up. Turns out it wasn't. Fixed my program that week."
